Do you need help with an embedded system? Our team has been working with Darwin Embedded Systems since the early 1990s. During this time we have worked with microcontroller (MCU) and Micro-Processor Unit (MPU) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP), such as STM32F4, MSP430, Atmel, PIC, LPC and ARM. We are use to working with COTS devices such as OMAP, BeagleBone Black, Raspberry Pi and Arduino or in-house custom embedded systems. We have also had experience rolling our own real-time operating systems, however still prefer to use COTS such as RTLinux, VxWorks, RTOS and GreenHill. We also consider ourselves Linux experts due to our experience with the Linux kernel, filesystem and extensive knowledge and experience of Linux command line tools and packages. Using the embedded system to read sensors and/or control motors in real-time via various signal processing methods is a very common task for us.

We have much experience designing circuits with MCU's, MPU's or DSP alone using ti.com Design Tools for buck-boost converters, lowpass/highpass filters, and power management IC (PMIC). And when it comes to loading the operating system (possible real-time based) and writting the firware/software, we have that all covered too - programming is also one of our strengths.
Electronics is an art our team has been working with since childhood (from building kits from Dicksmith, Tandy, and Jaycar to designing digital electronic keypads). Since then, we have maintained a constant update of knowledge and experience on the topic, since most of our projects involve either building a circuit from scatch, reviewing circuit designs, programming for target microcontrollers, and/or reworking pre-built PCB's for various needs such as bypassing/hacking solutions, or replacing broken components.

The CTO of COLETEK (Luke Cole) originally worked for Hemisphere GPS as a "Robotics Engineer" implementing auto-guidance solutions for agriculture tractors and quadbikes.
Luke Cole also worked at Location Aware Technologies (433) developing indoor tracking devices. And also worked for leading research institutes such as NICTA, CSIRO and ANU Robotics System Lab (lead by Alex Zelinsky).
Lance Cole has also worked at NICTA and has a background of various hardware development, such as working for a contract company to the US millary (EOS), building the Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS).
Darwin is the capital city of the Northern Territory. Situated on the Timor Sea, Darwin has a population of 120,652, making it by far the largest and most populated city in the sparsely populated Northern Territory, but the least populous of all Australia's capital cities. It is the smallest and most northerly of the Australian capital cities, and acts as the Top End's regional centre.
Over time Darwin has grown from a pioneer outpost and small port into one of Australia's most modern and multicultural cities. Its proximity to Asia makes it an important Australian gateway to countries such as Indonesia and East Timor. The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin, ending at Port Augusta in South Australia.
The city itself is built on a low bluff overlooking the harbour. Its suburbs spread out over some area, beginning at Lee Point in the north and stretching to Berrimah in the east – past Berrimah, the Stuart Highway goes on to Darwin's satellite city, Palmerston, and its suburbs.
The region, like the rest of the Top End, has a tropical climate, with a wet season and a dry season. It receives heavy rainfall during the Wet, and is well-known for its spectacular lightning.
The original inhabitants of the greater Darwin area are the Larrakia people. On 9 September 1839, HMS Beagle sailed into Darwin harbour during its surveying of the area. John Clements Wickham named the region "Port Darwin" in honour of a former shipmate and famed scientist Charles Darwin.
Having been almost entirely rebuilt twice, once due to Japanese air raids during World War II and again after being devastated by Cyclone Tracy in 1974, the city is one of Australia's most modern capitals.
